The first time we found out how great it was to use a pair on a flight was when we flew upper class with Virgin Atlantic. If you fly upper class, you get the use of noise cancelling headphones for free. Noise cancelling headphones are brilliant for drowning out background noise like people talking, and aircraft noise so you can listen to your music or watch the films on the plane with the minimum of disturbance.

Unfortunately, most of the time we fly economy and if you do get a pair of headphones for use on an economy flight they are usually pretty useless and do not block any noise out. So we decided to buy our own noise-cancelling headphones like the ones above. The difference really is incredible and we are so glad we bought them now.

I wait patiently for the drinks trolley – the only problem is we usually buy the extra legroom seats at the middle emergency exit so get served last! I do like a glass of wine on the plane though ….and pringles.

It used to be the take-off, but I haven’t been on a plane in 17 years as I got taken really ill on the way back from Jamaica in 2000 & spent my time lying down on a special bed & the crew had to ask the captain if they could open the emergency medical box to try & hydrate me as they had run out of bottled water. I have been nervous about going on a plane since.

I love the embarkation. I like watching everyone rush around as though the plane will go without them even when they are onboard. The fight for overhead locker space. Then I like to read the menu and always feel happy that I bought a sandwich. 🙂

Love pretty much everything about it. Although must admit prefer flying out as it’s nearly always for a beautiful holiday, it’s the flying back I’m not too keen on just because of the UK weather when we get here.

Flight, trains, ferries – I travel regularly on those and find it can be too noisy to concentrate whether I am reading or working. Its jut the hubbub of people which can be nice and comforting sometimes but not when I have plenty other things I have to do.

I actually didn’t fly for 14 years because I was too terrified! However I have now been abroad twice and I still don’t really like it but it isn’t too bad! My fave part is coming in to land, knowing you are getting down to the ground safely, and being able to see things out of the window (weather depending).

Love flying. My most favourite part (although like every bit) is when you are close to landing and you can see land. 🙂 Even enjoyed the 2 hours “sat on the runaway” in Canada a few years ago. We couldn’t see anything as it was pitch black and raining though.
