There’s a bit of a trend in travel at the moment to go off the beaten track and do something less ‘touristy‘ but there is often a very good reason why the ‘touristy‘ things are popular. Usually, they are the iconic landmarks of the city and are definitely not be missed. After all, what would Rome be without the Colosseum, New York without the Empire State Building and London without the Tower of London?
